Cult of Shadow OOC
This is the official thread for all things OOC about the Cult of Shadow. Currently the cult is in three threads:
1) Beorht's The Man and the Earthquake
2) Whispers with myself and Tal
3) The main COS thead: Cult of Shadow: Dark Harvest
There's also an info page up on the Wiki: http://starwars-exodus.wikia.com/wiki/Cult_of_Shadow
All comments and questions can be left here.

Small update.
Beorht's The Man and the Earthquake has now gone into his new thread: ...but 'til I try I'll never know.
And, if there's anybody out there interested in getting in on the ground floor of evil, there's never been a better chance to join the cult with Cult of Shadow: Dark Harvest.
Just let me know here. If not, then enjoy the read.

Hey man if you can hit me up on AIM: Dear Forbidden I have a few things I want to run by you.
And I'm trying to figure out
What you're all about these days
I don't have much to say to you
And I've been drunker than a skunk
Ever since the day I left you
With your darkest secret safely packed away
Up in my steamer trunk
What you're all about these days
I don't have much to say to you
And I've been drunker than a skunk
Ever since the day I left you
With your darkest secret safely packed away
Up in my steamer trunk

I'm already there, it would be safe to say Jethro's further training would be complete so Im ready for whatever you have in store. (With a fair ammount of anxiety no doubt

Teshran has one final test for Jethro, which I will get to in the next few days, but it's safe to assume that Jethro will have picked up another power or two during his training with Teshran and is much more skilled with his exisiting powers.
I'll let you figure out what would be some good stuff for Jethro to pick up. The powers I list for Teshran aren't the only ones he knows.
---
I'll give Coal another day to reply, and then I'll try something else to get his attention...

We're moving forward. Hopefully I'll hear from Coal soonish, but until then, we're going on without him.
Top, you've got complete control of the fight and Sariv-Cren's character. Just think insane and you've got him down. He's pretty one-dimensional.

This is just an observation I’ve recently had....
Despite Sivter’s sneaky and manipulative ways, he’s never once had others do his dirty work for him when it counts. He’s always challenged the big dogs personally. For example, instead of – say – sending minions to try and kill people like Darth Trayus and the Illuminated One, he prefers to do the deed himself. He doesn’t wait for his enemies to come to him, he goes after them.
I never meant to write him that way, but it’s how he’s turned out. It adds an interesting dimension to his character that I never considered before. It’s always fun when the creations surprise the creator.

Alrighty, there's actually going to be two threads for the upcoming Cult mission.
One will cover the assaults by Sivter and Arksis. The other, since there will be more people involved, will only detail the assault on Chalacta. I'll probably get both of these threads up sometime tomorrow.

Just when you think Renato might be redeemed, Arksis commits another atrocity.
Anyhow, the Chalacta thread is up. Top, Jethro is onboard the Shattersoul as well. He's basically the second-in-command of the operation under Crix.
I'll get the other Shadow & Light thread up later today.

No, I'll just respond to the battle. Sorry for the wait.

Hey y'all. I have a character that's been around almost as long as I have on the SOE forums, but he's just now beginning to see his power with the force. I wanted to develop him from the ground up, and was wondering if this was the place I could do it?
Oh right his name is Cypress. I think some of y'all may remember him from his Black Sun days.

I remember Cypress, especially since he served under my guy: Nashka.
Anyway, the Cult of Shadow is open to all with an interest in the Dark Side. It’s a good time to join up too since the cult is in the process of escalating its activities.

Well I think I want to join the Cult. But my character is engaged in another story right now that I can use to tie into the Cult if need-be. I'm not sure how he'll do it, whether it's an informant or what, but I can use the story that kinda stagnated in order to continue.
Now, the question is, should I join one of y'all's threads or just create an entirely new one?

Enemy of the Republic
Just a personal one I created a while back. I haven't read them in a while myself, but I remember them being all right reads, keeping in mind that it WAS almost three years ago I posted this earlier stuff. Haha
Here's the first episode:
The Cards We're Dealt
And the second:
Advent of Darkness
Cypress' story ended up here, which is the most recent stuff. Although it's in Arch's thread, none of the story started to cross up with the others in the thread yet.

I remember reading that...
Nar Shaddaa is a good place to be. I'd say go ahead and post on the Search for Kalja thread (most of the action is taking place on Nar Shaddaa right now). There will be an opening soon for Cypress to join up with the cult.

Right now, Jethro is free to do as he pleases. There's a big battle in the near future that he'll be a part of, but that won't happen until after I finish up with Sivter's duel with the Illuminated One.
Wade's character, Cypress, should also be coming to Arcanix soon, so there's some chances for interaction there.

I have an idea for a character I'd like to have join the Cult of Shadow... I think. The details are still being worked out, but I'm not sure what would be the best way to enter.
"Ol' Doc doesn't hide, he hibernates." -- Doc, Star Wars: The Old Republic
"What do you call it when you kill someone and take all their stuff?"
"Adventuring!" -- Tallis and Hawke, Dragon Age 2.

The cult usually finds you. They have agents everywhere and if they see someone who looks like a good prospective member, you'll hear from them.
However, that's not to say you couldn't have a character see some cult members in action and approach them. Whatever works out the best.
