I do find their dynamic kind of ironic. Back in the day, Kalja was the patient one with Caitlyn rushing in. Now it's the other way around.

Ugh, Sakura Con in Seattle this week. It's almost 11 o'clock and I got a full lobby. ><

I hope these people go to bed soon, I prefer my quiet time.

I think maybe you might be going a bit out of order? She doesn't know how to swim and you want to take her for a dive? :P

By the way, she's probably more embarrassed about not being able to swim than Cassian watching her, tbh. Well, technically a combination of the two. Because she doesn't know how to swim and he's watching her. He's just so good at everything he's probably a really good swimmer and she's got all sorts of ideas in her head about what he must be thinking.

... It occurs to me, I probably should've made that more clear. >.>

Cadence doesn't need to swim, she just needs to walk along the bottom of the seafloor. It's not like they're diving off a boat. This is a cultivated beach, so the slope into the sea is going to be a gradual one.

Plus, maybe, being lighter underwater might help Cadence get her sea legs as it were.

And if Cadence has trouble getting back up to the surface, Kalja can use the Force to help her.

Since a lot of this thread was setting the scene for Tython, I figure it can be converted into a general hub thread for the planet/temple.

And right now Kalja Sairu has decided that her old student needs a refresher course in Jedi training. :oldrazz:

Not really a sponge, more like an ADHD gremlin. Her instructors have a hard time getting her to focus on lessons, her heads always in the clouds. A little bit of unintended foresight, sending a messenger who definitely won't pay attention. >.>

She usually just pops into frame hanging upside down. She disappears like one too if you take your eyes off her for even a moment.

If Jedi Shadows are still a thing that's basically my plan for her.

Kalja could have gotten out of this one if she hadn't admitted all she had to do to sense her was concentrate. :P

Anyway, surprisingly she's not entirely clueless. Maybe a bit overconfident in her abilities, but confident enough she could be used as bait to lure the other spies out of hiding.

Caitlyn once again comfortably holds the top spot as Kalja's most difficult student. :oldrazz:

Which is saying something when her other students were Reave, Akain, and her own hyperactive daughter.

James might be the only "easy" student Kalja has personally taught.

Difficult, sure. But unfortunately also right. Cassiel's already eluded her twice. :P

I think I might have an idea for my next post since everyone seems to be standing around distracted. Seems like the perfect time for some mischief.

Cassiel's gonna lay a little trap. Using science!

Just need Kalja to not be able to sense her for a bit so she can scout a location and set booby trap, hence why she took the leaves (hopefully they work that way, admittedly I'm 100% positive >< ). The idea is once she lures someone into the trap she'll crush the leaves so Kalja can find her.

Kalja will give her that space because that's who Kalja is.

And I'll add in a little turnabout on Caitlyn while I'm at it. It's easy to forget in lieu of all her flashy powers and such, but Kalja used to regularly deal with politicians back when she was an official member of the Jedi Council. She knows her way around a debate. :oldrazz:

Renly is just a random NPC. I knew Cassiel was going to need help setting up her trap. He just happened to be the first one she ran into, they didn't know each other before. Really it could have been anyone.

We can gloss over that part, he's not really all that integral to the story. He's just a convenient scapegoat to help explain how Cassiel did it.

I figure Cassiel is probably more curious about what's under Kail's scarf than she is interested in his muscles, but maybe it's both. :oldrazz:

Anyway, here you go, Pryde! It's your chance to set the record on how the whole Laeradr thing would have gone, while at the same time giving you the ability to retcon out any of the elements you don't like anymore.

Sorry this is taking so long. I am simultaneously trying to remember this plotline, compose a response to the other thread, and trying to write about a complex, abstract idea I barely understand in my manuscript and I'm just hitting a brickwall. I rubbed my last two brain cells together to come up with anything and they withered and died in protest. >.>

I'll get a post up soon, but I may just gloss over it for now and fill it in later in the interest of moving on. :(

Take your time. Get some rest. De-stress. If want to bounce some ideas off of me, I'm always happy to help out.

In the meantime, my seemingly never-ending quest to complete Kalja's wiki entry continues. It's fun revisiting old threads and rereading stuff I completely forgot about. I forgot that Kalja, Delth, and the crew of the Final Shot (Clara, Tav, Isis, Micaiah, Mai, and Sylva (I think you later changed her name to Serenity)) were all on Alsakan looking for Cult of Shadow sleeper cells in the days before Sivter wiped it out with the Charon.

I'm just at the point where Elena (as Nova) decides to shoot Isis to try and save her from an assassin.

A little taste of memory lane for you. :oldrazz:
"Seriously, Clara, what the hell am I supposed to--," Isis started to say when suddenly Nova turned her blaster on her and opened fire. The shot took Isis in the shoulder and sent her spinning to the ground. Clara and the others looked at the Jedi in shock.

"Dead or alive doesn't matter to me," Nova told Dead Eyes, "She has a connection to someone I know, killing her would work as much to my benefit as bringing her in alive. Her death, however, wouldn't be as much fun for me but if you're not willing to cooperate...," she aimed the blaster at Isis again, "I could kill her right now. I could at least get some enjoyment out of telling her sister."

'Tsiv, see if you can do something about the rest of these droids,' she told him telepathically. Clara and her friends still needed a bit more before they could escape. She hadn't really planned for the stun cuffs and she doubted she could get to Dead Eyes fast enough to stop him from activating them. Hopefully Clara or one of her friends had an idea, otherwise this little diversion would have been all for naught.

I've been working on updating the wiki articles for Tython and the New Tython Temple. At some point I'll also get around to making an entry for New Joy.

WIP, but should give a clearer idea of what these locations look like:
* Tython: https://starwars-exodus.fandom.com/wiki/Tython
* New Tython Temple: https://starwars-exodus.fandom.com/wiki ... hon_Temple (with an image of the temple).

BTW, I placed Arilyn as the Master Healer for the temple since it seemed like a logical choice, but I can remove her if that runs counter to anything. I'm still trying to decide if her former master, Chirushk, is still alive in the Legacy era. He was already quite old during the Legends stories...

We should probably review the Jedi Council as well, see if we need to change anything.

(Aldar Melron was on the Council in 18 ABY, but I don't care if you keep him on it).

That should actually be pretty soon. "Echoes of the Force" is moving quickly - another two posts or so, and they're off to Tython.

I assume it's because Kalja needs a member of the Jedi Council, then? :P
