Regarding Tal's naming of the Quasar, technically the ship is an Imperial Light Carrier as per the new canon, it was never a SoruSuub ship. So I think we should name it the Quasar Fire to stick to those smelly LucasFilm losers because Vague hates the Imperial Light Carrier change.

I mean....he hates it.

Actually that's not up to date. It doesn't include Xal's fella. Though that's more of a list than an actual Squad designation.

There fixed it. Also, was about to ask if Otsoa should be Green 5 and by extension leader of Two Flight but then I remembered Wes Jensen was Wraith 11 which makes no bloody sense at all because A, he's XO and B, shouldn't Wraith 9 lead Three Flight? I dunno...

*Cough!* I, uh... Changed my mind again. Sorry.

I decided I didn't like the way I wrote that last post so I rewrote it. Last time, I swear! Figured since no one responded to Jess' reaction in any significant way it wouldn't affect things too much if I tweaked it slightly.

Also, it is now safe to move Damien and Jess off the shuttle since that scene I wrote no longer applies (if someone felt so inclined, that is). I will now return you to your regularly scheduled programming... >.>

ya they can, so she can also be a calming agent for the team later. But the pheromones are not overpowering like a Falleens can be. Theirs have a habit of being so overbearing that people can't help but obey their orders, even as strong as some Jedi mind tricks can be. Zeltrons use their as more of a nudging. If people are stressed, she can nudge them more towards the stressful side or she can try to clam them down. They can also be slightly telepathic, which Val doesn't have.

This is all used to help them be the most "beautiful species in the galaxy." They would be attuned to whoever they were performing for or with.

Ultimately it should depend on how well trained the Force sensitive in question is.

agreed. they can take a Jedi by surprise and the way "persuasive" they are being at the time. A well trained Jedi, it probably wouldn't even phase them.

[EDIT] Right now she is trying to make at least one friend, to be part of the team even though everything inside her is tell her not to. That will be revealed later. Just usually if someone has never seen one of her species up close, their presence can be a little surprising and overwhelming (in a good way)

In comparison, a "powerful" Force sensitive from a "powerful" family (Leia) was virtually at Xizor's whim in Shadows of the Empire, until that sexy mischievous Harrison Force face was like "Girl you be loyal". So it depends on the power of the pheromones and the skill of the Force sensitive in question.

Also we should probably stop couching all FS under the "Jedi" banner.

Honestly, though, Force Sensitive is probably not a well known term for average people. The unlearned are probably more likely to refer to all Force Sensitives as Jedi regardless of what color their lightsaber is... Also, Jedi is more convenient than "Force Sensitive".

As to the second part, mass labeling is generally not a good thing, and in this situation, because of how little we now know about, well, everything, it can create some confusing situations. Jedi is also not more convenient than "FS".

It's not that confusing. At least it never used to be. Force Sensitive was never really a term used in the movies. There was Jedi and Sith. Then the EU comes along and now we have gray Jedi, Dathomiri and who knows what else. The EU made it complicated but now that it's gone things are easier again.

Also, have we or anyone else decided who the flight leaders are and the like? Since this the whole group was transferred off the books, I figure this squadron is essentially brand new, even if it's just a brand new copy of the old Green Squadron, so maybe those assignments haven't even been doled out IC.

Also also, Mir, can you add to the Squadron roster to include who the XO and any other important assigned personnel might be? Makes for easier reference if you don't have to go digging for who's the Chief Mechanic, Medical Officer, or any other administrative staff are that are assigned to the squadron.

Not to nitpick or anything but not a lot of people understand Shri--um... Wookiee. Having Wrench lead a team of engineers could be difficult. Not that I'm saying we should make Damien Chief Engineer because no, definitely not. I did name a Chief "Videl" in my last post but I can change it to Chief Wrench if we're dead set on the Wookiee. Little weird to have literally just arrived and be Chief Engineer, though.

Wrench was listed as Tal back in the old OOC and written as being the Chief Mechanic, IC, on 4 May. He's in the briefing that To'ran gave. He didn't literally just arrive.

it's ok, Val's presence can be overpowering at times. I went into her backstory a little there. Hope people can see why she distrusts others now.

Jakob may institute a program, similar to the RS books, regarding the pilot with the lowest kills. But he might have that person's droid (considering our droids have interesting personalities) have to be the bartender for everyone for a week.

Mate would make some mean protein shake mixed drinks bro.

ok so I got asked to explain a little bit about Valexia.

Basically her last squadron or group if you will were trying to break up a slaving ring by the Zygerrians. They specialized on infiltration but they got caught. Since she was a Zeltron, the rest of her crew trader her for their lives. They had been together for about three years. The Zygerrians, basically took her and put her in a hole, torturing her and doing everything they could to break her. This went on for about two months, everyday. The shock collar, the whippings, she had cold water dumped on her to wake her up for the beatings. Her nose was broken many times and a fractured right orbital bone. The day they branded her, was the day she escaped.

She suffers from some PTSD and of course her trust issues. She has had extensive counseling by the NR and reconstructive surgery on her face but they can't get rid of all the scars, especially the mental ones. The cloak serves two purposes, to keep other from touching her and to keep her pheromones in check. But as we just saw, even with her hood off, enough of it can escape to slightly effect those around her.
